Why Wild+Beautiful?

Years ago when we decided to homeschool our children, my oldest daughter asked, 'mommy, what is  the name of our school?'. At that time we lived on the beautiful beaches of Washington State. Our favorite beach for collecting treasures and spending most of our days was Penrose Beach. Naturally, having two daughters and living on Penrose Beach, we named our little homeschool 'Penrose'. 

A year later our son was born, our school room was filled with roses and oh so girly everything. And while we can never take the love of flowers out of the girl, I did see a need for a change in our theme as Pierce started preschool. 

Thus, w i l d + b e a u t i f u l tribe was born. We are a family with a love for the wild and beautiful of God's design. We are drawn to nature. We relish in the beauty of the morning sunshine and dew drenched wildflowers. Studying nature and developing a love for exploring is just part of who we are.  As a family, we seek God, we enjoy the simplicity  in the beauty all around us, and have a desire to minimize unnecessary secular distractions of worldly ideas.  My husband, Chase, and I simply want to love this life, enjoy all the beautiful chaos with the little ones God has blessed us with.  

The wild + beautiful collection is simply a taste of our homeschool life. Or at least the wild + beautiful side of it.
