Wildflower Press
Perserve those beautiful blooms with our handmade Wildflower Press. Each press is constructed with sturdy birch plywood that we burn a lovely floral design in by hand.

How to use: Pick some delicate flowers/ plants {tip: sturdy flowers and thick leaves take longer to press and dry, delicate flowers work best}. Some flowers that work well are poppies, buttercups, tiny daisies, clovers, ferns, Queen Anne's Lace, baby's breath, and other thin-petaled blooms.

Press each Bloom/Plant by uncrewing the wing nuts and placing it between your two pieces of Wildflower Press wood. You can speed up the drying process by placing the flowers between flattened coffee filters or flower press blotting sheets {coffee filters absorb the moisture well and work nicely as the flowers are being pressed}.

It takes at least a 2-3 days to completely dry and perserve your blooms { thicker blooms take longer}.

H o m e s c h o o l i n g ? Try this! Did you know that Emily Dickinson collected, perserved, and identified over 400 flower and plant species in her Herbarium Journal by the time she was 14 years old? The herbarium is the perfect place to keep your pressed blooms. A Herbarium is a collection of perserved plant or flower specimens used to collect data for further study and identification which are often kept in a herbarium journal.
